Wow, a lot of those predictions are actually true, and a lot aren't. But for the predictions that were actually true, they were way too conservative. There was no mention of the internet or computers or anything of the sort. If they only knew the technology we have now in 2011, they would be shocked. And in 2020, the technology will probably be even more shocking.

There's one image that looks like an early Skype.

It's as a projector because no one could imagine TV screens back then.

Now i think we can predict things a little bit better and in more detailed way.

This is actually quite hilarious. I love the way they remain completely conservative about things.
How they portray the fashion as staying exactly the same after 100 years and technology will remain the same but just better e.g. ships, projectors, airships.
I also bet they wouldn't have imagined such a multi-cultural society as we have today! Would shock them somewhat.
Over all I think they have under-estimated the future by quite a distance. Hopefully our predictions for 2110 are the same!

Lol I like the first one how they have the roller skate with motors: car shoes? one may wonder what kinda ridiculous invention that is. But yeah, they seem conservative because they reflect the culture and lifestyle of the time. For instance, flying fire fighters. One may envision in the present that such fire problems may extinguish itself by designing the home to prevent something from happening in the first place. like a "smart house".

I am actually hoping technology will progress enough so that by the middle of this century, people can learn new information sort of the same way Neo did in the Matrix. Just transfer information to a chip in the brain.

If I am right, I expect in the future we will be making constructions mainly by nanotechnology like for instance your car, computers, buildings and skyscrapers, transatlantic tunnel, space elevators, and finally an orbital ring. Surfaces will probably be dirt resistant and you will rarely see dust collections. Most things will be based on molecularly precise additive manufacturing. Cracks, scratches and chips will finally be a thing of the past. I hope I am accurate lol.
