It's much easier to drive regularly than this way. I don't see how this can ever be useful except for people who have physical disabilities.

Think 20 years from now when it is perfected. This is more of a step toward automated driving, ie cars driving themselves. You think where you want to go and the car takes care of itself.

This is also not just about the car, its the ability to control things through a brain interface. Think how much faster you could work on a computer by thinking the operation rather than using a physical interface object like a mouse or a keyboard. The operation or tool you want comes up as you think of it while you still are working with the object. You can work as fast as you can think. And even then you can still use the mouse as an extra tool. Modelers could model things way faster and get much more done in a shorter time period.

I'm waiting for the day. Imagine how much work can get done at work? Employers would be expecting massive amounts of workloads to be completed by employees. And oh yeah.. you can't get away with being tired at work any more with thought-controlled computers. Perhaps in 20 years from now.

I can imagine the countless number of things that can be phased out with this mind control. but when do you think this method of control is going to be primary? 20 years?
With offshoots from the Kinect we would hardly have physical contact with surface objects, all you basically do is a combination of mind control and waving your hands in gestures just like in Minority Report.
