For how much sun they get they could realistically do the lot with solar power. It's not like putting solar panels on the roofs of British council houses in cities where it's sunny for 3 days of the year.

In 50 years? Get real! Any idea how much it cost America to land on the moon? Try landing on a moving rock 20 times as far away?

How do you suppose we fuel all these mining ships? Oil? Coal? There won't be any left in 50 years!

Fail solution for near future energy needs. Mineral?? Sure, but energy needed to power cities? No. Geothermal, solar wind, tidal, and fusion.
